Description
In a living fairy tale, Ahiru, whose name means “duck” in Japanese, appears as a clumsy, sweet, and gentle girl who seems an unlikely heroine. Yet she shares the same magic as the town’s talking cats and crocodiles, for she is literally a duck. A mysterious Drosselmeyer transforms her into a human girl, and she soon discovers her purpose. With a magical egg‑shaped pendant, Ahiru can become Princess Tutu, a stunning ballet dancer whose performances ease the emotional turmoil of those she encounters. Embracing this gift, Ahiru sets out to gather the scattered shards of her prince’s heart, which were shattered long ago when he sealed an evil raven for all eternity.
