Description
Coult, the prince of the kingdom of Loon, enjoys a joyful life with his father, King Stephan, and many retainers. He is cheerful, bright, tender‑hearted, and blessed by the god Aganade. Coult’s mother, Galatea, daughter of Aganade, married King Stephan. Envious of their happiness, Medusa, the daughter of an evil spirit, turned Galatea and many villagers into statues when Coult was still a baby. To save the remaining villagers, King Stephan pledged allegiance to Medusa and vowed that his son would be turned into a statue on his eighth birthday. When that day arrives, Coult declares that he will defeat Medusa and revive the people who have been turned to stone. He sets out on a long journey to fulfill that promise.
