In Ayodhya, the palace of the Kosala kingdom, four princes were born to three queens, each rising to great stature. After fourteen years of exile, Prince Rama, along with his beautiful wife Sita, retreated to the forest. During his time in the woods, Rama defeated many forest demons, which incited the wrath of the demon king Ravana. Ravana abducted Sita, prompting Rama to embark on a rescue mission with the aid of a monkey army. In the ensuing battle against Ravana’s forces, Rama’s brother Lakshmana was severely wounded. At that moment, Hanuman, the general of the monkey army, flew to the Himalayas and brought a mountain of medicinal herbs, healing Lakshmana’s wounds and saving his life.
