High school student Morita Yukari travels to Axia in the Solomon Islands to search for her father, who vanished during a honeymoon trip. While there, she meets Nasuda of the Solomon Space Agency, who hires her for a part‑time position as an astronaut. She is selected to join the crew of Japan's first manned spacecraft, chosen in part because she is small and lightweight. What does her future hold?
