Sakurada Jun spends his days browsing the internet, ordering whatever catches his eye and then returning it before the payment is due. A traumatic experience at school has left him reluctant to maintain close relationships, so he keeps his social contacts to a minimum. One day he stumbles upon online instructions telling him to place his order in his desk drawer. Jokingly following the advice, Jun does so, only to find that the order vanishes instantly. A package then materializes in its place, containing a beautiful antique doll. When Jun winds up the doll, it springs to life. The doll, Shinku, regards Jun as her servant and, despite the constant demands she places on him, gradually helps him confront and overcome his fear of human contact.
