The story follows a love triangle involving Makoto, the male protagonist, and the two heroines, Kotonoha and Sekai. Makoto develops romantic feelings for Kotonoha, a girl in the same grade but a different class, even though she is unaware of his existence despite both taking the same train to school. Sekai, a classmate who also harbors strong feelings for Makoto, eventually brings the two together.
