A meteor strikes Earth, releasing a powerful new energy known as Beamler. This energy powers both the battle robot GoShogun and the teleporting fortress Good Thunder. The Docougar Crime Syndicate, headed by crime lord Neo Neros, seeks to steal the secret of Beamler from GoShogun’s inventor. When the inventor refuses to hand it over, he takes his own life rather than let the syndicate acquire it. Neo Neros then turns his attention to the inventor’s son, who is rescued by the crew aboard Good Thunder. Together, they travel the world, using GoShogun to battle Neo Neros’s forces.
