Forty years after the events of the original series, Remy Shimada, once a pilot of the Goshogun, endures a horrific accident while traveling to a reunion with her former robot‑piloting teammates. As her friends rush her to the hospital, Remy drifts between life and death, experiencing vivid visions of her youth and a strange hallucination where her comrades appear all young again, trapped in a mysterious city overrun by hostile fanatics. Far from the joyous reunion she had hoped for, each team member receives a chilling letter that foretells their own gruesome death.
