In a post‑apocalyptic Earth, the planet’s water has become entirely toxic, with only a small reserve of clean water kept in a protected reservoir. Sanga, a ruthless leader, has built a fortified enclave he calls The Lastland. When a group of villagers discovers the safe water, Sanga and his gang of killers set out to kill everyone in their way and seize it. Just as they begin their assault, a mysterious man appears out of nowhere and instantly eliminates several of Sanga’s men. He is Kenshiro, a master of the martial art Hokuto Shin Ken who can defeat any opponent. Sanga will stop at nothing to obtain the water, while Kenshiro is determined to prevent that from happening.
