Submarine 707 is tasked with locating a mysterious object that annihilates every ship and submarine it encounters. After a whale summons the vessel to pursue the threat, the submarine is guided into the world of Mu. Along the journey it confronts the very object it seeks and discovers that it is Commander Red Silver, who has been attacking Mu in order to harvest its magma reserves. The crew must confront Red Silver and defeat him to protect Mu and the wider world.
