Mars, a man with no memory, is discovered on a forming volcanic island during the Heisei era. In reality he comes from outer space and is tasked with gathering information to decide whether Earth should be destroyed. Together with the giant robot Gaia and mysterious images of a woman urging him not to annihilate the world, Mars chooses to fight for Earth instead of destroying it, even if it means confronting his own kind. However, if Mars is killed, Gaia will explode, destroying Earth along with it.
