Description
In this contemporary retelling of the traditional Japanese tale, Momotarō departs for Antarctica instead of Onigashima Island to confront a rogue eagle. The film, released during the Manchurian Incident in 1931 and the Shanghai Incident in 1932, quickly gained popularity, and its sequel, Umi no Momotarō, was produced shortly afterward.
