Hikari Hanazono has always been second to Kei Takishima. When they were six, their pro‑wrestling‑loving fathers introduced them to each other. Believing she was the better wrestler, Hikari challenged Kei to a match and was decisively defeated. Since that fateful encounter, she has sworn to surpass him in grades, sports, and everything else. She and Kei have attended the same school since elementary school, and now they both study at Hakusenkan, an ultra‑elite institution that strains her carpenter father’s finances. At Hakusenkan, Hikari and Kei occupy the top two spots; Kei firmly retains the number‑one position, while Hikari regards him as her rival.
