The plot follows a small band of guerrilla freedom fighters on the colonial world of Deployer, known as the Deployer 7 or Sun Fang squad. After a sudden coup, the elected Governor seizes power, establishes a dictatorial regime under martial law, and enlists the support of Earth’s Federation. Determined to regain independence from Federation influence, the fighters wage a rebellion against the Federation’s Combat Armors, employing their own armored machine, the Dougram.
