Shortly after pre‑teen Shōtarō Kaneda discovers that his late father has left him a 60‑foot‑tall, 50‑ton remote‑controlled robot, he takes command of it. Shōtarō accepts the V‑controller and the duty his father intended for the giant robot, Tetsujin, to fight evil and maintain peace.
