The Five Killers was an original project conceived by writer and producer Eric Calderon, intended to become a 12‑episode animated television series with a one‑hour finale produced by Gonzo. Character designs were created by manga artist Maeshima Shigeki, and the promotional trailer was directed by Hirata Tomohiro, known for his work on Trinity Blood. Unfortunately, GDH’s financial difficulties halted the project, leaving the trailer as the only material released.
