Description
The series is the third entry in Tadao Nagahama’s Romance Super‑Robot Trilogy, following *Chō Denji Robo Combattler V* and *Chō Denji Machine Voltes V*. After their home planet Barm is destroyed, the survivors head toward Earth to negotiate the purchase of land for resettlement. During the negotiations, Barmian leader Leon is assassinated by his second‑in‑command, Olban, who then frames the Earth delegation for the murder. Doctor Isamu Ryuuzaki of the Earth delegation is shot and killed amid the ensuing chaos. With the talks in ruins, the Barmians, called Valerians in *Starbirds*, launch a campaign of terror against Earth led by Leon.
