Kkachi, a young boy who lost his mother at six, lives with his father, a man who travels across Korea with a caravan. After they suddenly relocate to Seoul, Kkachi joins a college baseball team. His father marries a new wife, and in an effort to make Kkachi forget his mother, the father forces him to live with the new wife and her daughter, Annie, a young girl who uses a wheelchair. It takes Kkachi time to accept his stepmother and step‑sister. During this period he fully commits to baseball, quickly becoming a star player on his team, and he also forms a friendship with Julie.
