Description
In 2050, climate change has dramatically altered the world. One rainy day, Tamala rescues a honeybee from drowning in a street gutter. The bee, named Kuronosuke, is the last bee of the cat world and invites Tamala on a magical journey that travels backward in time and forward into the near future. The story presents a sweeping panorama of Earth's biodiversity through history. As the modern era unfolds, civilization continues to waste and destroy nature, leading the characters to wander through a wild land where all animals have become extinct. When Tamala is left with little time and no food, Kuronosuke offers to be eaten by her so that she may survive.
