Description
This anime film tells the story of the god Susanoo, portrayed as a cute boy, after the death of his mother Izanami. He is deeply hurt by her loss, but his father Izanagi tells him that she has gone to the heavens. Despite Izanagi’s warning, Susanoo sets off to find her. With his companions Akahana, a talking rabbit, and Taitanbo, a strong but friendly giant from the Land of Fire, he overcomes many obstacles on his long, wondrous voyage. He eventually reaches the Izumo Province, where he meets Princess Kushinada, a little girl whose beauty reminds him of his mother. Kushinada’s family welcomes him into their home.
