The song “Watashi to Kotori to Suzu to” began as a poem by Misuzu Kaneko. It was adapted into a musical composition by Ryuichi Sugimoto and performed by Tsutomu Aragaki, and the resulting piece was animated for NHK’s Minna no Uta program.
