Yamiyo no Jidaigeki (OVA) is a direct sequel released straight to video. The story follows Jinsuke, a wandering swordsman, as he rescues a damsel in distress from evil spirits. Set during the fall of the Bakufu, the film also features a tomboy from a woodcut workshop who is charged with creating a print of the young warrior Okita Soji.
