Description
Yawara! is a sports anime that blends comedy and romance. It follows Yawara Inokuma, a typical Japanese high‑school girl who enjoys everyday school life. However, she has been training in judo for years under the guidance of her grandfather, Jigorou, a former Japanese judo champion. Jigorou’s ambitions for Yawara go beyond ordinary school competitions: he orchestrates situations that force her to participate in matches and tournaments, with the ultimate goal of having her win a gold medal at the Olympics and be awarded the Nation Medal of Honor.
