Koyomi Morishita’s life has never been fair. Though she’s in high school, her short stature makes everyone assume she’s still in elementary school, and she’s constantly teased by both boys and girls for her awkwardness and lack of grace. Despite these hardships, she’s in a better situation than Yumiko, who is being hunted by a magician, at least until Koyomi and Yumiko’s paths intersect. Salvation comes in the form of Misa Anehara, a master mage and graduate student, who agrees to mentor Koyomi in a new style of magic that dissects enchantments into code-like sequences. This will be a formidable challenge, especially since Koyomi’s current talent seems limited to causing washbasins to randomly fall from the sky. If it were easy, it wouldn’t be magic, would it?
