The acclaimed anime film Jin-Roh, originally released in 1999, is returning in spectacular fashion for its 25th anniversary with a newly remastered 4K version and immersive Dolby Atmos audio. Fans of classic anime will have the chance to see this hard-hitting story on the big screen once again, beginning March 6, 2026.

 

Revival Screenings in Theaters

To commemorate the film’s quarter-century milestone, select theaters across Japan will host a limited theatrical revival of Jin-Roh featuring the newly restored 4K visuals and enhanced Dolby Atmos sound design. This revival run begins on March 6, 2026, giving audiences a fresh opportunity to experience the movie on the big screen with cutting-edge presentation quality.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Collector Edition

In addition to the theatrical run, a special 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray set will be released on March 25, 2026. This collector edition includes the remastered film sourced from a 35mm film scan, Dolby Atmos audio, exclusive extras, and a premium package design.

Jin-Roh is a critically respected animated feature directed by Keizō Ōkura with a story by Mamoru Oshii, set in an alternate post-war Japan.
