Description

Annette, born into a modest family in Switzerland, is a gentle girl who dutifully looks after her younger brother Dannie. Lucien, her best friend, one day angrily slaps Dannie's beloved Ermine, causing the animal to develop a limp. The once happy days give way to a prolonged period of hardship, but gradually Annette and Lucien begin to restore the friendship they had lost.
