The Layzner OVA presents an alternative version of the TV series. The first episode, titled “Eiji 1996,” recaps the initial portion of the series (episodes 01‑24). The second episode, “Le Caine 1999,” occurs after a time skip and covers episodes 26 through 37, omitting episode 25 of the TV series, which itself is a recap. The final episode, “Seal 2000,” expands upon the TV series’ concluding episode (38) with new animation and a longer epilogue.
