Description
Ichigo Kurosaki is a fairly ordinary high‑school student whose life is only slightly altered by his ability to see ghosts. His routine is upended when he encounters the Shinigami Rukia Kuchiki, who saves him and his family from a Hollow, a corrupted spirit that devours human souls. During the battle, Rukia is wounded and must pass her Shinigami powers to Ichigo to defeat the monster. Forced to take on the role of a substitute Shinigami while Rukia recovers, Ichigo sets out to hunt down the Hollows that threaten his town.
