Description
This series offers an alternate take on the story that diverges from the version featured in the Seishun Anime Zenshu TV series. Botchan, a recent graduate, embarks on his first teaching assignment, unaware of the challenges ahead. He must contend with students who spy on him and pull cruel stunts, as well as a landlord who repeatedly tries to sell him worthless antiques. Seeking respite, Botchan goes on a fishing trip, during which he begins to suspect his only friend in the village, Hotta, of being the source of his misery. Yet this is only the beginning of his troubles.
