Bremen 4: Jigoku no Naka no Tenshi-tachi is a television anime special produced for NTV’s 24‑Hour Television charity event in the summer of 1981. Created by Tezuka Production under the supervision of Osamu Tezuka, the title translates to “Bremen 4: Angels in Hell.” The story follows four animals, Coda the cat, Alegro the dog, Largo the donkey, and Minuet the chicken, who, echoing the Brothers Grimm fairy tale “Bremen Town Musicians,” unite to aid an alien named Rondo, who is on a peace mission. In gratitude, Rondo gives the animals a machine that can transform them into humans, and they take on new human identities.
