Unico the unicorn possesses an extraordinary power that brings happiness to everyone he meets, though the exact source, whether it lies in his cheerful nature or the magic of his horn, is unknown. The gods, fearing that only they should control the joys of mortals, grow jealous of him. They banish Unico to the Hill of Oblivion and command the West Wind to escort him there. The West Wind, unwilling to consign an innocent to such a fate, allows Unico to escape. Thus begins his wandering adventure, as the West Wind transports him from one place and time to another in a ceaseless journey to elude the gods’ wrath. Along the way, Unico encounters Beezel, a mischievous devil child, and Katy (Chao), a cat who dreams of becoming a witch. Will Unico be able to forge friendships with them?
