Description

Byulbyul Iyagi 2 is a collection of six animated shorts produced by the Human Rights Commission of Korea. Like its predecessor, the stories explore the world through the perspectives of people who diverge from social norms. The film received a nomination for Best Animated Feature at the 2008 Asia Pacific Screen Awards. The first short, “The Third Wish” (directed by An Dong‑hui and Ryu Jeong‑wu), follows a visually impaired young woman who encounters a fairy godmother offering to grant her three wishes. Although the fairy appears irritable and eager to finish her task quickly, she ultimately proves helpful by guiding the woman through a bustling marketplace that evokes the charm of “Amélie.”
