Detroit Metal City is a band fronted by the larger‑than‑life Johannes Krauser II, who wields the guitar and shouts vocals with a ferocious style that has earned him a reputation as a “terrorist from hell.” The band’s intense sound is driven by the indestructible drummer Camus and bassist Alexander Jagi, creating the hottest ticket on the concert circuit. However, the group’s success is based on a strange arrangement: behind the aggressive stage personas lie hired performers who actually dislike their roles. Jaggi is really Wada, a musician who dreams of playing glam rock; Camus is in fact Nishida, an anime fan with a terrible weakness for curry and NSFW videos; and Krauser is the street‑singing Soichi Negishi, whose ambitions to sing cheerful pop songs are thwarted by the popularity of his rage‑fueled alter ego.
