Description
Based on a traditional Chinese novel of the same name, Fengshen Bang follows the reign of King Zhou of Shang, who is bewitched by his concubine Daji, a vixen spirit disguised as a beautiful woman. Under her influence, the tyrant oppresses his people and persecutes anyone who speaks against him, including his own subjects. Ji Fa, later known as King Wu of Zhou, with the help of his strategist Jiang Ziya, gathers an army to overthrow the tyrant and restore peace and order. Throughout the narrative, battles between the Shang and Zhou kingdoms feature both human and supernatural forces, deities, immortals, demons, spirits, and magically able humans, battling on each side.
