Gōguri Gōguri ／ ぐーぐりぃ ぐーぐりぃ
Description
Googuri Googuri is a made‑up word that serves as a secret code shared between a girl and her grandfather. To the girl, her grandfather takes on the qualities of a mountain, a tree, or an ocean, a warm, comforting presence. Her thoughts fly into an endless imagination, exploring all that she has seen, smelled, and experienced, expanding within the infinite expanse inside herself. This work was completed in 2010 as part of the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation, Tokyo University of the Arts.
