Description
Van, a lanky and apathetic swordsman, is on a quest to kill the murderer of his fiancé. The only clue he has is that the murderer has a claw for an arm, and is therefore known as the Claw Man. While traveling, Van passes through the city of Evergreen, which is defending itself from bandits intent on robbing the city’s treasury. In Evergreen he meets Wendy Garret, a timid young girl searching for her kidnapped brother. When the city pleads for Van’s help to defend it, he refuses, claiming the matter is not his business, and leaves the city to handle the danger on its own.
