Jotaro Kujo is a popular Japanese high‑school student who suddenly believes he is possessed and confides in the police, ultimately ending up locked in a detention facility. While in prison, he encounters his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, and during a confrontation with Joseph’s friend Muhammad Abdul he discovers that the “Spirit” he feared is actually his Stand, Star Platinum, a manifestation of his fighting energy. Later, Jotaro learns that his mother has also manifested a Stand and is suffering from an illness tied to the revival of the vampire Dio Brando, who returned a century after his defeat by Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro’s great‑great‑grandfather. With these revelations, Jotaro decides to join Joseph and Abdul on a trip to Egypt to confront Dio and end his threat once and for all.
