Based on Akira Kurosawa’s 1961 masterpiece *Yojimbo*, *Kaze no Youjinbou* follows Kodama, an intelligent and tough investigator, as he probes an incident that shook the small town of Kimujuku more than fifteen years ago. The townsfolk grow uneasy with his arrival, and soon Kodama finds himself caught in the middle of a bloody gang war as rival groups battle for control of the town. Amid the fighting, shootings, and deadly alliances, he must determine whether he can uncover the clues to the long‑ago mystery, or whether he will end up face down in a body bag.
