Riri visits an amusement park whose mascot is a frog, accompanied by her parents. Inside the park’s Frog Castle, she finds a sword. Legend says the Frog King will grant any wish to anyone who defeats the great snake with that sword. After Riri slays the snake, she enters Frog Land and meets the Frog King. He warns her that if she cannot open the Gate of Hope before a child hatches from the egg in front of her, she will turn into a frog. Suddenly a suited man appears, his name is Knodo, and he claims to be Riri’s little brother. Confused, Riri runs away, but Knodo pursues her. They tumble head‑first into the water together.
