Description
Two years after the manga’s debut, a 15‑minute pilot film was produced to gauge audience interest in a future Lupin III anime. The pilot opens with Lupin issuing a challenge to Inspector Zenigata over a public phone. A remastered version, re‑photographed in cinemascope and re‑dubbed, was released in 1978 and shown in cinemas before the first feature film, The Secret of Mamo.
