Macross Zero

Set one year before the Zentraedi arrive on Earth, Macross Zero follows the final days of the conflict between the U.N. Spacy and anti‑U.N. factions. When ace pilot Shin Kudo is shot down by the anti‑U.N.’s newest fighter plane, he crash‑lands on the remote island of Mayan, where technology is almost nonexistent. While he recuperates on the island, its quiet is shattered by a battle that involves the U.N.’s newest fighter, the VF‑0.
