Description
A young girl attempts to sell matches on a cold December night, but she finds no buyers. To keep warm, she lights a match and is transported to a wondrous vision. The theatrical release adapts Hans Christian Andersen’s story. Completed in July 1967, the film’s release was postponed until the 1971 Toho Champion Matsuri film festival.
