Description
Mononoke is a spin‑off of the Bakeneko story arc from *Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror*. It follows the Medicine Seller as he confronts various spirits, referred to as “Mononoke”, in feudal Japan. Like in the original Bakeneko tale, he employs a range of tools and draws on his extensive knowledge of the supernatural, but can only defeat a Mononoke after revealing its form (Katachi), uncovering the truth behind its appearance (Makoto), and understanding the motive for its anomalous behavior (Kotowari).
