Naniwabushi Daisuki

I Like the Naniwabushi ／ 浪花節大好き

Description

Two stories are blended with traditional naniwabushi, a form of storytelling accompanied by shamisen music. The first follows General Nogi, known for his famous suicide, as he visits the shrines at lse on his way to Nagoya; meanwhile his wife, booked into a hotel, is mistakenly identified as a commoner. The second centers on a sumo trainee who is ridiculed by his peers, trains hard, and ultimately avenges himself, following the standard clichés of a sports anime, all set to a distinctive plink‑plonky musical backdrop.
