Description
The 1962 recording is the original Japanese rendition of Henry Clay Work’s 1876 song “My Grandfather’s Clock.” It was aired on NHK’s *Minna no Uta* program and performed by Sumito Tachikawa together with the Nagato Miho Kagekidan Jidou Gasshoudan (Miho Nagato Opera Children’s Choir). The accompanying artwork was created by Rokurou Taniuchi. Because of the copyright laws of the era, the high cost of film reels, and the practice of overwriting tapes, the original video recording has been lost, rendering this music video a piece of lost media.
