Description

Based on the eponymous fairy tale, the animation adapts Jeong Chae‑bong’s celebrated work, whose local edition sold over 100,000 copies. It follows Gil‑son, a five‑year‑old orphan, and his blind sister Gam‑i, who are raised by a charitable monk in a secluded temple on Mt. Seorak. Gil‑son, a mischievous boy with a pure heart, guides a one‑hour journey in search of innocence, befriending all living things and communicating with clouds, birds, and flowers. One snowy day, however, a dramatic turn of events unfolds. The film earned the Best Feature Film award at the 2004 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
