After the Saints defeat Hades, Seiya is left wounded, confined to a wheelchair with no prospect of recovery. Athena’s sister Artemis, the Virgin Goddess of the Moon and twin of Apollo, proposes an elaborate plan: restore Seiya’s physical health in exchange for the supremacy of Sanctuary. Athena accepts, and Artemis along with her Knights of the Sky swiftly seize control of Sanctuary. Seiya and the other Bronze Saints then battle Zeus’s forces in an attempt to regain their homeland, but the task proves far from easy. The Bronze Saints Hydra Ichi, Unicorn Jabu, and Silver Saint Ophiuchus Shaina ally themselves with Artemis and Apollo, joining the conflict.
