During the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, the samurai Kyoshiro Mibu and the legendary slayer “Demon Eyes” Kyo confronted each other in a fierce duel. Their clash ended abruptly when a meteor crashed onto the battlefield, causing both men to vanish. Four years later, Kyoshiro is spotted traveling along a rural road, selling medicine. A female bounty hunter named Yuya Shiina captures him after discovering that the dormant persona of “Demon Eyes” Kyo still resides within him.
