Description
Shin Takarajima was the inaugural episode of Mushi Pro Land, a series envisioned as a collection of 60‑minute animated programs. It holds the distinction of being Japan’s first 60‑minute animated television program. Although the series never came to fruition, this single episode was broadcast. The story adapts Stevenson’s *Treasure Island*, but reimagines the characters as animals: the pirate Silver appears as a wolf, while the protagonist Jim is portrayed as a rabbit. The production has no connection to Tezuka’s *New Treasure Island*, the renowned manga masterpiece.
