Description
A young noblewoman named Iratsume, while copying Buddhist sutras, slips into a trance and ventures to a remote temple that women are forbidden to enter. In doing so, she awakens the ghost of the executed Prince Otsu. The prince’s spirit mistakenly believes Iratsume to be a woman from his own lineage, a young woman who once came to witness his execution. The beautiful face of that woman was the last thing the prince saw before his death, and his restless spirit cannot find peace as her image continues to haunt his dreams.
